My cat scratched my nipple and now it's bleeding?!?
i was playing with my cat and I guess she accidentally missed her toy and scratched my nipple. I checked it out and a little bit was just hanging there but not a lot. it's bleeding and I'm scared a little. what should i do?
just so you know, i don't want to tell my parents. anything i can do myself? (i'm 15)
I'm going to disagree with the "call 911 and run to the doctor immediately" crowd here. You DO want to keep an eye on this and if you have any sign of an infection - swelling, increasing redness, etc. THEN you need to see a doctor.
But for now, just wash and dry it gently with mild soap. Then, put a bit of Neosporin or triple-antibiotic cream on the wound. (You can find either for very little $$ at a drugstore). Put a bit more antibiotic on the wound every 4-6 hours and I suspect it'll be a memory by tomorrow afternoon.
